SWIMMING CLOTHES

Abstract

We can find the pictures of women wearing in swimsuit (in modern sense of word) on ancient frescoes and vases. But in Middle Ages people have thought that human flesh is sinful and despicable. And water treatments had been limited. The Age of Renaissance gave back the normal world ideology and admiration of the female body. Exactly this period is considered to be the time of emergence the swimming dress. As you can see, that swimming dresses looked like quite dresses. And in these clothes it was easy to go down. In the end of 19 century swimming became an Olympic sport. And it was necessary to invent a new type of swimsuit.
