SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORL

Abstract

Various lists of the Wonders of the World have been compiled from antiquity to the present day, to catalogue the world’s most spectacular natural wonders and manmade structures. The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World only includes works located around the Mediterranean rim. They are: 1) The Great Pyramid of Giza 2) Hanging Gardens of Babylon 3) Statue of Zeus at Olympia 4) Temple of Artemis 5) Mausoleum at Halicarnassus 6) Colossus of Rhodes 7) Lighthouse of Alexandria The Great Pyramid of Giza is oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one whose location has not been definitely established.
