Abstract:	A method of failure prediction for a life of metal during the operation is considered. The method has high sensitivity to the complex structural transformations in steel material. It can be successfully used as a rapid method for the continuous quality control of the level of plastic deformation and residual stress along the entire length of the pipeline.
