dc.description.abstractWilliam Stanley Milligan (February 14, 1955 – December 12, 2014), known as Billy Milligan, was an American citizen who was the subject of a highly publicized court case in Ohio in the late 1970s. Billy Milligan is known for the 24 people lived in his mind. Billy's father committed suicideand then his mother remarried to Chalmer. At his later trial, Chalmer was blamed for abusing Billy. Billy had the first three (no-name boy, Christene, and Shawn) of his multiple personalities from the time when he was five years old. According to Billy’s testimony he had more personalities when he was eight as a result of his stepfather rape for the first time.uk_UK
